Flowers and Cake

I love cake.....In fact I almost became a baker instead of a florist.  I thought I would share a few images of a handful of cakes I have decorated over the years for today's post.

First up this sweet cake from last winter with a cascade a peach roses.

Another spring favorite:

Simple succulents and blush blooms adorn this sweet little cake. And look at the cute custom cake topper the bridal had made. Cake Baker unknown.

This next cake is one of my favorite cakes to date. It was amazingly yummy and elegant. Stunning four tier cake by the amazing Stacy Chatfield of Verbena Cakes and Pastries.  Sequin table cloth and lush yummy garland

Another fave from last fall. This woodland inspired cake was baked by the mother of the bride, and I decorated with a lush cascade of deep colored blooms. Photo courtesy of Tana Helene

And for the fun of going back a dozen years, here is one that I baked as well as decorated in collaboration with my friend Sunni.

Fall is in the air

With Fall in full swing, I thought I would take a stab at this blog posting things and share with you a few of my favorite fall bridal bouquets!

Molly's bouquet was an exuberant mix of dahlias, roses, mums, crasepdia, succulents, olive branches, ammaranth and ginger. Thank you to jjt Photography for sharing this lovely photo.

Jen's Bouquet was a eclectic mix of organic succulents and organic craspedia, and finished with raffia. This bouquet may have been the heaviest bouquet I have ever made! All the succulents ad a lot of weight. After the wedding Jen was able to root and plant her succulents to keep a part her bridal bouquet!

Marisa's Ranch wedding bouquet was a loose mix of all local organic blooms and foliage.  Include were five  different varieties of dahlias, scabiosa, pods and blooms, sweet smelling jasmine, and geranium and finished with oak leaves, Chinese pistache leaaves and grasses.
